The note
Red satin blouse with embroidery and a bow, on a form in the studio

The studio

Red satin, a bow

Still on the form. Embroidery at the chest, a dark skirt, the wall of sketches behind it.

Bright red coat with black formline graphics, hanging over the work table

On the rack

Red, formline

Wool, black graphic, white dots. Hung over the green table. The coat before it walks.

Runway look with a red panel, fur collar, and hanging jingles

The floor

Jingles, on red

Fur, satin, a walk. The same table that teaches also sends work down a room. This is the hand, in public.

Youth, Elders, a community table

Workshops across the North and the rest of Canada: traditional construction and finishing, a contemporary fashion ideology. Not a brand class. A way of keeping the hand in the room.
