Teaching haute couture at Banff Centre.

Pattern, embellishment, beadwork, tufting. A residency for Indigenous designers. Dates below are public; confirm what is next.

Fashion, he has said, is no longer only runways and spreads. Online sales and the tools at hand made a line of work that used to require Toronto or Paris more reachable — which is why the teaching matters.

At Banff Centre he has led Indigenous Haute Couture residencies: Digital Embellishments (2024) and Creation & Embellishments (April–May 2025, to confirm as a listing). Hybrid: arrive with a project, then pattern and embellish on campus, with sessions on beading, tufting, quilling.

CBC reported a longer arc — a series of workshops over three years, including vests, ribbon skirts, handbags — alongside guest Elders. He has also taught across the N.W.T. with youth and Elders, traditional finishing mixed with a contemporary cut.

The next date is not on this page until he sends it, or Banff posts it.
